A flexi desk should make it easier to get work done.
But sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. The desk is small, the light is poor, and the room is more social than productive. If that sounds familiar, the idea of a flexi desk probably isn’t the problem. It may just be the space.
Here are five things that can make a real difference.
1. A focused atmosphere
Most of our members are established businesses, growing teams and professionals who come in to get things done. There’s a friendly community around you and it’s alway's focused. That’s what we’ve aimed for at collective_100.
2. Natural light
Our flexi desks sit along the external windows, which means daylight, a bit of a view and more room to breathe. It’s a small thing, but it matters when you’re at your desk all day. As far as we know, we’re the only coworking space in Cremorne set up this way.
3. Enough room to work
A flexi desk shouldn’t feel like balancing your day on a tiny square of laminate. Ours are oversized, so there’s space for your laptop, notebook, coffee and monitor.
4. No long-term commitment
Not everyone needs a permanent desk. You can book our flexi desks by the day, so you can come in when it suits you. Working from home today? Stay there. Big project tomorrow? Book a desk.
5. Somewhere calm
Cafés can be noisy, home has its own distractions and some shared spaces get busy. We’ve tried to make collective_100 a calmer option. It’s private and professional, with phone booths, meeting rooms and quiet areas when you need them. You still get to work around other people, just without the crowd.
Finding the right fit
Everyone works differently, so the best way to know is to see a space in person. If you’re looking for a flexi desk in Cremorne, we’d love to show you around.
